The mts carriers are optimally suited for use with core sleeves and winding tubes made of laminated paper. By turning the square winding shaft, the clamping bars are pushed outwards and thereby have the effect of a deadlock with the inside wall of the cardboard core. By halting the winding or unwinding process and returning the winding shaft to the home position, the clamping bars are released from the inside wall. The carrier is fixed in the center of the winding shaft with the adjusting collars and the two centering rings, right and left, ensure concentricity of the cardboard core during the winding or unwinding process.
